Andre Widhani provided zero prior knowledge of Tetrix until it landed on my desk as a new game submission for Mirage. Quite the surprise out of the total blue and a brilliant game. Still, IMO, the most enjoyable version of the game on ANY system. Just found it funny that it arrived literally out of nowhere :)

For the record, a few years ago I pinged the author of Tetrix and asked him if he would make it available .. ;)

Just played Tetrix for the first time in ages. Scored 160. Not bad. Not great.

Thanks for responding. Guess I should have run a search for "gamebase" here, and not for "tetrix"! I was actually looking for another copy of Tetrix, as there is a weird 50/60Hz attributes bug in my copy, where on entering the game, the screen is corrupted on the bottom of the screen. What is even weirder is that copies of the game on older 3.5" disks play perfectly (no corruption), copy the game to any other disk and run it - corrupted-screen again. It's also been like this for years & years, so it will be great to have a non-buggy version again.

Sorry to hear about your v4 woes. I attempted to download v3 a few times from that 'Mega' link but it shoos me away, telling me my IP has had it quota until another 4 hours or so. This, no matter how many vpn IP's I throw at it, I think it's pulling my leg, just to get me to subscribe to their service. :) Never mind, not an issue as you've also provided that tetrix.dsk link here. I'll have a play with it when I get a chance, though I'm more focused on getting it transferred over to my Oric hardware. I've done it a couple of times in the past, but right now, although the mind & body is willing, the memory is weak! No worries, I'll figure it out. Thanks again.

Years for me too, but I used to play it a LOT in the past - after a couple of games over the past few days, I've managed 1400 & change. Great game.

I'm so depressed living in the UK amongst Bigots, Xenophobes, Racists and Homophobes that I have decided to delay work on my Gamebase and buy a Kitten instead to calm my nerves. I feel ashamed to be English... (yes I know I wasn't working on it much anyway but I feel kinda drained after the devastating election result today).

edit... so yes this post was just an excuse to rant but I'm sickened with the way the UK, particularly England is going. There will be no UK soon after Scotland rightfully disowns us and goes their own way. I can only apologise for the bigoted 'Little Englanders' I have to live with. I'm so frustrated! PS I will be getting a Kitten!!

I would generally avoir discussing politics and stuff, but if that can make you feel better (technically, worse), it's a bit like how I feel when I look at news about France.

Let's enjoy our little corner of apolitical entertainment and try to forget the horrible horrible things that happen in the real world.

I'm Australian, but I abandoned participation in the Anglo-states' 5-eyes coalition years ago. The best advice for any British person: leave. The world is a small place, and you don't need your national identity. It doesn't do you any good.

That said, I also agree we should keep things apolitical here. ;)

The world is going bad. You don't know how to live in a country ruled by someone like Recep Tayyip Erdoğan... This year is the the most depressed year I have ever lived.. We all need to try to be calm and admit that we all live in the same s**t ..

So my friend, please don't give up , get a kitten, and keep on working on oricutron :)

I share your pain, Dave. We were living in Scotland and have been considering returning.

But then the situation in Scotland isn't that great. They get more money per head from the government than we do hear in Cumbria thanks to the Barnett Formula. They get about £1.30 per head for every pound generated whereas we get about 43p.
70% of their exports is to the rest of the UK, so if they leave they are going to be in a worrying financial state. Yet, they want to leave the Uk with its 70% trade so they can get back in the EU with its 30%.

The election here was a strange event. It was unlike a normal election and I think the populous just gave the politicians a bit of a thump for not following through with it's wishes. They asked the public what they wanted in the referendum and the politicians decided to mess about and block trying to achieve that goal and find alternatives. The public is rather fed up and voted dithering politicians out.

The ramifications are that this Brexit lark has given a voice to the racist, xenophobic yobs that think foreigners are to blame for our problems. They don't mind sharing their views now, which has revealed quite a nasty attitude amongst the supposedly friendly English.

Sad times.

We've already got a couple of cats. Most of the time they are outside murdering small mammals. They come in for some food then go out again. Sometimes they throw up on the carpet.

Oh well. I've lived through the 70s and 80s which was some of the best times. 80s was fun with computers. The 70s was fun without. I'm pre-digital !!!
