Re: Microdisc replacement project
This is the beginning of a new era for the Oric!
Re: Microdisc replacement project
I received mine, and it's working fine on the two machines I tested (Oric 1 and Atmos).
I'm going to update the preorder page with a new section with received ones and tested equipment, including which sdcard worked.

Might be a good idea to list the serial numbers of the tested orics (it may turn out that there are bad batches of orics out there...)Dbug wrote:I received mine, and it's working fine on the two machines I tested (Oric 1 and Atmos).

Well, my Oric 1 still has its warranty band, but none of my other machines has theirs...barnsey123 wrote:Might be a good idea to list the serial numbers of the tested orics (it may turn out that there are bad batches of orics out there...)Dbug wrote:I received mine, and it's working fine on the two machines I tested (Oric 1 and Atmos).

Re: Microdisc replacement project
Once I get one, within a few weeks delay, I should be able to test it on 2 Oric-1 48K, 1 Oric-1 16k, 2 or 3 Atmos, and a Pravetz.
I can't recall but suspect it won't work on Telestrat since it has a disk drive controller?

Re: Microdisc replacement project
Would be interesting to see how it works on the 16k Orics, I've no idea how the memory management works, will the overlay stuff work at all?Symoon wrote:Once I get one, within a few weeks delay, I should be able to test it on 2 Oric-1 48K, 1 Oric-1 16k, 2 or 3 Atmos, and a Pravetz.

For the telestrat, good question, no idea.
Re: Microdisc replacement project
There's not a chance to work with Oric 1 16K and with Telestrat at all, sorry.

By the way, pressing the third button when on the main screen makes a small 'P' appear or disappear on the left of each floppy entry.
What does it mean?
