Just in case some people are not following Fabrice on Google+ or Youtube here are some recent stuff:

Soft-serial at 38400 baud on the Oric (part I : USB-to-Serial-TTL)

Soft-serial at 38400 baud on the Oric (Part II : connecting via Bluetooth)

Very impressive! Nice to see the Oric being controlled 'remotely' too, that seems like a lot of fun.

Do you know if Fabrice has documented his code somewhere?

Very nice demos!
Bit-banging serial protocol with Oric's parallel port on 38400 baud is impressive work too.
I like it.

I have asked him his source code.
I'll tell you when he will reply to my e-mail.

Hello

Yes very good

But leaves very little time to do any thing else

38600 baud is 26.041uS bit time (transfer rate of 3.86k bytes/s, one start bit one stop bit and 8 data bits)

IMhz bus = 1us tick time, that gives you 26 ticks before you have to send or receive another bit

hello,

if you want to know more about bit banging the parallel port to simulate rs232 see theoric # 27
