Floppy drive cable

If you want to ask questions about how the machine works, peculiar details, the differences between models, here it is !
How to program the oric hardware (VIA, FDC, ...) is also welcome.

Floppy drive cable

Post by jorodr »

Hello.
I have difficults with my new Cumana boards because of the 34-pins ribbon cable between the computer and the controller. When I'm using shielded cable from my Microdisk, Cumana works fine. But if I'm using standard piece of 34-ribbon cable, controller don't work. Has anybody any experience with the cables and is there a place where I could buy 34-pins shielded cable?
Hope for help.
Best regards,
George

Yes, it is. I have had a Microdisc with usual cable and it had work, but not so good as with shielded cable. Mu Jasmin uses usual cable too. The Cumana refuses to work at all with not shielded cable :(
Has anybody experience with ampliboard? I have tried with one, but no success at all :( I need real working schematics - any that some guy using withe his controller.
