I'd love to use it :)

I's not dead ! Just a lack of spare time, and i was more worried about an emulator for VISTA/XP
No hurry :)
Oric Explorer helps a lot, but having a smaller application that can run on old machines (Win98 and so on) would still be interesting IMHO.
Thanks to you both :)

Hi Symoon.

I've been doing some enhancements and fixes to Oric Explorer over the last couple of days so hopefully should have an updated version available soon.

You mentioned previously about reading Jasmin and Randos disks. Do you have any disks in these formats that you can send me so that I could try them out and make any changes that may be needed to read them.

Cheers
Scott

Hi, good news about the update, thanks :)

Most of (if not all) the Oric disk operating systems can be found on Fabrice's site:
http://oric.free.fr/software.html
On the left, click on the system names and you will download the system disk (FT-DOS = system for the Jasmin drives)

Hope that helps - well, sort of, as it will bring you more work if you intend to make them all readable

Hi Symoon,

Just to let you know I've uploaded a new version of Oric Explorer to my website. (oric.mrandmrsdavies.com)

The following are some of the changes/updates.

1. The issue with the incorrect number of bytes is now fixed.

2. It can now read RANDOS and FT-DOS disks (n.b not fully working yet).

3. Files within Tapes can now be editted using the inbuilt HexEditor.

4. I've added a BASIC editor for Tape files. This is still in it's early stages and hasn't been fully tested yet.

Cheers

Hi,

I demoed Oric Explorer at the CEO Meeting, and people that were there were very impressed.
As you said, seems FT DOS disks are not fully recognised, and there's another challenge for you: Stratsed disks (for Telestrat ;-)

Anyway, that's a wonderful tool indeed. Can't wait for the next version :)

Hi Symoon,

I've just seen the cover of the latest CEO mag and what did I spot... only a screenshot of Oric Explorer, wow :D

I definately need to subscribe to the mag to get the full article.

Thanks for your support.
