Earlier today the defence force servers were offline for a while: The power supply of the main server failed, as well as the battery backed up unit.
I'm not sure if there's a link between the two failure, or if there is which one triggered the other, but in doubt I moved all the disks from the server into a second server I had available "In case of", and unplugged the UPS.
I'm currently waiting for a new UPS to arrive, let's hope there will be no power cut in the mean time.
By the way, next month will we celebrate 20 years of Defence Force being online

Hardware failure
Re: Hardware failure
Indeed! Time passes so fast!
Thanks Dbug for keeping this site alive for us all this time. You know how important it is to have a trusty place to keep a small community in touch
And if there is an occasional failure, we can cope with it..

I just received the UPS unit, will try to get all that reinstalled cleanly during the weekend.
