No worries, it will be on eBay sonner than later, it's not collection, but speculation here, especially when it goes that high.ibisum wrote:/me casts a lusty eye at my Telestrat sitting there .. unused ..

I'm really not going to sell it, because it is such a cool machine, but I have to say when the prices go high like that, things get a little difficult ..

Re: Atmoses, Microdiscs and Telestrats on ebay
Yeah, indeed very good guess!Dbug wrote:Knight-Rider style moving lights?
But besides the obvious large number LEDs the 8 chips have pretty unique footprint - PDIP-18,
which most likely means they are LM3914
and explains the 2x jumpers on the PCB used to select 'dot' or 'bar' mode .
What still puzzles me is Why only 16 LEDs are used instead of 20 (as in LM3914 datasheet)?
Anyway... The same seller has more interesting items: Lot Oric - Microdisc - cartes électroniques - lecteur disquette.

Thanks for the replies guys. Well, I don't think I need that
Re: Atmoses, Microdiscs and Telestrats on ebay
Not sure if this is new, but 299 GBP is way too much for my taste for an Atmos...

ORIC TELESTRAT + Disc drive on eBay again. Who will guess the winning number this time? .
But more interesting are the 3-inch floppy disks - take a closer look at their labels (in description at bottom of page)....
If only it were true ... CP/M for Oric

Re: Atmoses, Microdiscs and Telestrats on ebay
Hahaha...
Prices are mad, as usual... the Telestrat does not even work! And the Microdisc is probably a slave unit. And those CP/M disks...
Probably they are from an Amstrad computer and were re-used for this Oric or something... Or someone was thinking about building an external device with a Z80 just to run CP/M on the Oric, as other micros had.
