Re: Oric SD Drive videos
Looks very nice.
I'm interested.
How much would it cost and what kind of power supply would I need ?
I've noted that you seem to power it through another card.

Re: Oric SD Drive videos
The PSU is usual PC PSU. The green card is RGB to VGA converter and I power it from the same PSU.
The cost is 90 euros including SD card with Bulgarian software - disc copy and edit and some interesting games. The RGB to VGA converter is not included.
The device could use real 5.25" Disc II as slave drive, so you could copy disc images from PC to real disc and from real disc to PC disc image.

Looks very nice jorodr. Incredible work!
It's a bit expensive for me, but looks really professional.
Congratulations!

Re: Oric SD Drive videos
Looks cool! I'd buy one, but I'm quite happy with the Cumulus at the moment!
Re: Oric SD Drive videos
Oric SD drive is completely different than Cumulus. It's a whole new world of Oric software under Dos 8D.

Re: Oric SD Drive videos
Really? How so? I'm genuinely curious, I did not know that. I thought the Pravetz was a clone of the Oric - did it have its own entire software eco-system separate to that of Oric-1/Atmos, then?
Re: Oric SD Drive videos
Yes, they are compatible. But Pravetz 8D has it's own software not known in the Oric world. Some of it work under Dos 8D only, some not. I have wonderful games only for Pravetz 8D. Some on English, some in Bulgarian. I must translate the most interesting. Most of the Oric multifile games are transformed to work with Dos 8D too.
You could see Oric Phonebook - Fobus 1.0 at:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5g225t4azwk
there is versions to work with tape and with disc drive. I must translate it soon.
You could see wonderful text editor too:

it's Dos 8D based too.

Right, those apps do look pretty nice .. well, I guess it would be nice to hear from you what other nice titles the Pravetz8D world produced for our similar machines!
