Last night i found this interesting tool to convert wave and mp3 audio to midi (music recognition software) called WIDI. The principle is simple, the implementation is extremely complex but i then loaded it with a Sonix tune and was amazed by the results.

Ok so it misses a few notes but once it gets going it plays a pretty good rendition of the Sonix song. The one i used was "Journey's End".
Unfortunately i downloaded the unregistered version (well hang on, u expect me to pay for something?) and it only allowed to save 10 seconds.
But you lot should try it, its quite a neat little thing, and changing the sound of your favourite Oric tune can be alot of fun.
