Manual for Audio Tracker
I'm sorry, I tried, but I was not able to relate what is in the documentation with what is in the tracker itself.
I tried the instrument edit mode, fortunately I found ALT+H to get the list of keys (because it does not seem to match what is in the written documentation), and managed to see how to add new commands to change the volume, the pitch, delay and thing, but was not able to use the virtual keyboard to trying doing music with the intstrument.
All I managed to get is to play the default note by pressing ENTER
Is it possible to get a quick start which explain how to do one instrument, to be used in one pattern, and how to play it ???
I must be thick, but for me a list of keys does not help me at all how to grasp the whole concept.
The way I always tried to understand trackers was:
- Load the tracker
- Load a sample song
- Play the song
- See how patterns and stuff are done
Then to try myself, I still used the loaded song and then:
- Erase all the patterns
- Press the keys to do "da dou di dam"
- When I had a rough idea of the song enter EDIT mode
- Press the yeys to do "da dou di dam" in edit mode
- Listen in play mode the pattern
- Add some tempos, spacing, move notes around
- Listen again
- Save
/me feeling totaly stupid
