Re: Closing the Q&A site

I never knew it was there .. if so, I don't know that I would have used it though. Seems like this forum is more suited to those kinds of discussions?

Re: FGC company history ?

iss: count me as extremely interested! For my needs, it'd be enough to be able to wire up a small set of Atmos's to a raspberry-Pi with multiple USB/Serial adapters, and then just give everyone a login prompt. ;)

Looking forward to your proposal...

Re: Asteroids (from Arctic Computing) bug

Symoon - thanks for pointing this out and for engaging in a neat investigation of this issue .. do you think its worth trying to release a 'fixed' version of this ASTEROIDS game now that you know whats up, or is it just a curiosity at the moment .. ?

Re: OSDK article: C/Assembler code sharing

Great stuff! I enjoyed reading about it .. the only questions it left me with were, what are some of the common assembly API's available through the OSDK, and how do I go about navigating/finding them ..

Re: Oricutron 1.0 (EDIT: Now 1.2)

I just think Gitlab has a better set of features, which we'll use in the long run. Well they explain the differences better than I can, anyway: https://about.gitlab.com/better-than-github/

Re: Oricutron 1.0 (EDIT: Now 1.2)

Gitlab has all the above, and it also can be converted to a private local repo at ease (run Gitlab locally) if its needed .. Also, GitLab has a less-restrictive free-use account level, while GitHub is a tad more intrusive. Its easier, for example, and cheaper, to have free private repo's on GitLab, ...

Re: Oricutron 1.0 (EDIT: Now 1.2)

I'd vote to turn the existing repo into a Git-compatible repo, and host it on GitLab, not GitHub, since it provides a more flexible solution ..

Re: Oric SD Drive in production

I'd really like to know the issues of the Cumulus, can you perhaps explain this, or send me in the direction if its explained elsewhere? The reason is, I have 2 Cumulus, and I wonder about the problems you mention - mine have been working pretty reliably for a year or so now, although there is much ...

Re: "ORIC'S NEW COMPUTER OUT IN JANUARY"

From what I understand, its a general-purpose i/o, which requires a lot more code to drive the 31250kbps serial MIDI protocol. A typical MIDI port would have an opto-isolator and a UART at least, on the other side of the port. We don't have that, but we do have bi-directional general i/o? So an adap...
