Re: IJK-egopad the joypad for Oric by [raxiss]

Hello all!
After creating the IJK-egoist interface I decide to create a small but really nice addition to it - the IJK-egopad!

Here is it with an Atmos:

... and with an Oric-1:

Re: Oricutron on Ubuntu

Yep, this is another known issue with the visual keyboard, but because it's not my contribution I'll need much more time to fix it. IMHO, the root of the problem is somewhere in the code for new allocation (or reallocation) of the main SDL surface when switching on/off the visual keyboard. EDIT: The...

Re: Oricutron on Ubuntu

Well, @rax reported the same behavior as by you in Ubuntu, so we have "stable" starting point to debug the issue. I hope we can fix it soon! Obviously there should be kind of internal translation inside the SDL library, but this is just pure guest by now, will see... To build Oricutron wit...

Re: How to create a blank disk for saving games progresses in HxcFloppYEmulator

And where can I find this disk? The idea here is to use any image you already have as empty one. So, select one image and copy it to new file renaming it (for instance) to 'empty.hfe'. Boot with SEDORIC, then change the image to the 'empty.hfe' and initialize it without formatting. You can initiali...

Re: Oricutron on Ubuntu

@jbperin : You can find all roms in my development builds here (as usual). Download any ZIP, unpack it and copy everything from roms/ to your directory. About not working keyboard - it's already reported and I'm searching for universal solution. Meanwhile, please try this in the console: Change to ...

My very old, but well-working Northern UV-Eprom eraser. The capacity is 6 pcs per load - average erase time ~15 min but I normally leave it for 25-30 min the success is 100%.

Be warned: Using any DIY-things as erasers is extremely dangerous!

Soon!

Sure! SDL and Qt bindings should compile with no pain.

@ThomH: Congrats for the incredible work!
I've just tested the new Qt OSBinding and it works like charm. I like the drop-roms feature :).
All in all - simply impressive.

Re: Complete list of Oric Atmos adreeses

Attached you can find Atmos ROM 1.1B disassembly in PDF. This is the best copy I have - it's nicely colored. I don't know who's the author nor where I've got it from. See p.124 for a BASIC commands reference and differences between v1.0 and v.1.1. IMO, what will be very useful nowadays is to be conv...

EDIT: I realize that the killing raxiss team had already worked on a tank concept back in 2018. I need to see what it looks like .. perhaps is there some gameplay material to reuse.[/b] He, it's not this type of tank, we are peaceful people - it's just a fish-tank for relax and meditation ...

Re: Is BD-DOS lost to time?

Unfortunately, this Cumanas will not do the job - it's the same as Microdisc and any other FDC i.e. you still need a Gotek to transfer files between Oric and PC. (Actually maybe I mislead you saying "Cumana reborn" I meant the one with integrated Gotek). I think in this case the best will ...

Here is a patch which swaps up and down directions of the IJK-joystick in Blake's 7: Changes are to be applied on the DSK file using hex-editor.
