Re: The Atmos clock..

That is indeed a fascinating story - and it makes me wonder why we're not using these energy-harvesting devices more avidly .. seems to me that the same energy being stored in a spring could be used to drive micro-electronics, piezo-style, sooner or later.. Would be great to know whether these devic...

Re: Gamebase Oric V3.0

Maybe it shows up differently for different folks .. for me its definitely a hassle - I fired up a browser in VM, created a fake email address, and downloaded it that way - but thats not your average every day click of a URL.

A better service might be mega?

Re: Gamebase Oric V3.0

Is there any chance you could put this on a site where it doesn't try to infect my system with a trojan (MacKeeper is a trojan), and/or doesn't require the ability to post to my social media accounts?

Re: Major Defence-force structural update

Huge thanks to you Dbug! Without the Defence Force, I doubt I would have rekindled my interest in these machines - but having you guys around really made all the difference to me as an Oric/Atmos fan. I raise my virtual glass to you, sir!

Re: Re Cumlulus Build

I think this is a fine community project, and if there's a chance to build the ultimate disk solution so that Oric-1's and Atmos's can persist out there in the world, I'm all for it. I don't know about the profit side of things .. those gerbers were undoubtedly a lot of work. Your improvements/tweak...

Godzil: I don't need them, but I'm happy to assist with the effort to get more made. And I didn't see your survey until now.

Re: Re Cumlulus Build

Although I have two functioning Cumulus+Atmos systems, I'm quite interested in any new project that will manufacture a better version - so count me in for at least 2, if not more. I have 8 Atmos, an Oric-1 and a Telestrat and I would love to get them all wired up with drives at some point. Also what...

SWEET16 : Nice VM from Woz ..

This is a very interesting article: http://www.6502.org/source/interpreters/sweet16.htm .. in which Woz describes the SWEET16 extension "16-bit VM" he invented for use in some Apple ][ machines .. thought some of you guys might appreciate reading the details of some historic bit of computi...

Re: OSDK's site upgrade

Great work Dbug - I'm getting broken images on the Download page, though. Chrome on OSX. http://osdk.org/pics/category_tech.png does not exist, it seems ..

EDIT: Also, I've got a quote for you: "Old computers never die .. their users do! - ibisum" Feel free to use it if you like. :P

I'm finding ASMOS to be pretty easy to use and understand:
