Re: PICTCONV with IMG2ORIC

Found out the problem: The picture is 240x180, but the img2oric code processed the 200 lines...

Re: Pushing The Envelope - An Oric demo at The Payback 2014

Hi I've try to launch it with oricutron and it doesn't worked. I don't know why but ... i've watched it on my real tv and oric, coupled with my new cumulus Nice long long long demo Bravo Glad you like it :) It works fine in Oricutron 0.9 and 1.1, but for some reason it seems to have problems with v...

Re: Cumulus Issues

I did replace the cable by a (recent) Asus black HDD cable, and it worked fine for me.

Pushing The Envelope - An Oric demo at The Payback 2014

So this week-end I finally released by slideshow, it still has some glitches here and there but I had to release it as is: It entered the 8bit compo at The Payback ( http://www.thepayback.fi/index.html ) and made 2nd place (out of 3). You can get the demo on Pouet: http://www.pouet.net/prod.php?whic...

Re: PICTCONV with IMG2ORIC

The new Pictconv (incorporating Img2Oric) has a couple of problems (on WinXp anyway): When running in a batch file the very first image it processes ends with a windows error message : "Pictconv has experienced a serious problem and needs to close". When pressing OK to continue any subseq...

Re: MOON ADVENTURE

PictConv 0.18 with built-in Img2Oric support: Version 0.018 - Added the -f6 conversion mode for Oric pictures. This is the method used in Img2Oric/LibPipi and generally gives much better results when converting - albeit much much slower than other methods. The changes are in the SVN depot, and the W...

Re: rom

There you go: http://miniserve.defence-force.org/svn/users/dbug/rom_test/basic11b.tas I got inspired yesterday, asked on the #c-64 IRC channel and somebody recommended this tool: http://csdb.dk/release/index.php?id=118900 "Regenerator 1.3" is not 100% XA compatible, but the syntax is close...

Re: MOON ADVENTURE

Well, technically there's not supposed to be any difference between LibPipi and Img2Oric as far as the conversion goes. LibPipi adds things like the rescaling and rotation, but it's not something I wish to bring in from there, should be a generic option that works for all the formats. But yeah it wi...

Re: MOON ADVENTURE

Img2Oric is from the same author as LibPipi, so same algorithm :)
Yeah, give a shot at LibPipi, it tends to give a better result on photos.

Re: MOON ADVENTURE

You may want to try Img2Oric as well, it tends to give much better results than PictConv on conversions.

(I got the authorization of the author to integrate it inside PictConv as an additional conversion method, may happen "soon").

Re: Cumulus Firware Compilation

What makes an 'official' firmware at this point? The version 0.5 is the official firmware at this point. It's the one made by Retromaster and which is currently in the SVN depot. Imo, the problem is not a question of coding, or branching, or svn or git: It's before all a question of what needs to b...

Re: Cumulus Firware Compilation

Let's summarize: I did not use the SVN branch/tag whatever feature, because the point of doing that is to be able to merge back and forth between the development branch and the source branch (or trunk). (This works with the full content of the branch, you can't just cherry pick a feature. ) I had no...

Re: Cumulus Preorder Thread

Would it be possible to update the Preorder Queue, so we can follow who has got their unit(s), and who is next in the queue to receive? I asked people to tell me, but obviously they did not get it, so I will have to remind them... So people: Tell me when you received your Cumulus (how many of these...

Re: Cumulus Firware Compilation

ibisum: My changes are NOT safe, just one example: I removed the 'eject' feature because I did not understand what it did and it looked pointless, but now that I see that people are using the write feature it means that my version of the firmware will just probably leave modified files open and prob...
