Re: Cumulus Preorder Thread
To be honest, I am a bit concerned after reading all the complaints and problems that people expressed in cumulus thread. I hope I won't experience such problems when I got mine. I wouldn't worry too much. Just be sure to check the cables, make sure everything is connected OK (take your time) and i...

Re: MOON ADVENTURE
Example of non-linear playing of different video blocks. Each block can be played at will meaning a "Whoops" vid can be played whenever either side lets something slip in conversation. Or a "*** you" if the player selects an aggressive/uncompliant response. Here, the blocks are b...

How about this?ibisum wrote:Looks like you're getting the throughput you'd need, but the picture itself is barely discernible ..
BTW I'm only testing at the moment, need to do some more work with GIMP to do some graphics processing (playing with options, re-sizing etc)

Re: MOON ADVENTURE
Only 12 frames in video (for testing). Hopefully, I'll be able to add chunks of video which should play at different points in the conversation. Talking: head moving from side to side, gob opening and closing Listening: head cocked to one side Pause: Scratches his chin/nose whatever Threatening: lea...

Re: MOON ADVENTURE
Have been writing some code at last...
Having a few issues getting the video to play properly. My sums appear to be correct and the colors look right but it's all out of sync. Will have a play with the new pictconv tomorrow.

Re: PICTCONV with IMG2ORIC
Hi Dbug, found a problem with a particular file, it just happened to be the first one tested in the makedata.bat batch file (manonmoon2.png) On the svn under my directory is a dir called LunarCom (location for all pics/code etc) SET PIMP=%OSDK%\THEPIMP :: MonoChrome :: MAN ON MOON Mono echo PIMPING ...

Great slideshow!
I liked the "loading" vertical scroller (nice touch!) and the way each picture gets revealed.
The variety of text scrolling also adds interest.

Re: Cumulus Issues
The loose cable I had was due to me not inserting it properly...being too careful. However, my problem still existed (that of the atmos needing a 20 minute warm up). I replaced the cable (just in case) and this seems to have fixed things (the old cable has a pronounced kink in it which may have been...

Re: Cumulus Issues
About moving the cumulus...the IDE cable on mine plugs in loosely at the cumulus end but fits in very firmly at the bus end.
So moving the cumulus may upset it if the cable is a loose fit.
Suggestion for case modification....suction cups!

PICTCONV with IMG2ORIC
@Dbug, have started this new thread to seperate from the Moon Adventure The new Pictconv (incorporating Img2Oric) has a couple of problems (on WinXp anyway): When running in a batch file the very first image it processes ends with a windows error message : "Pictconv has experienced a serious pr...

Utter brilliance. The Age of Storage has given us much to do! Steady on...I've got to write it yet... :( barnsey123, why not to add speech synthesis? ;) It's something I really want to do, speech, sampled sounds etc. Not to overdo it but use it for maximum effect. PictConv 0.18 with built-in Img2Or...
