Indeed, but for now there's something rotten in my kingdom, I had tested the synchro rom on Euphoric and when yesterday I tried it on the real thing, it blocked waiting for the timer1 interrupts... So, double bug to fix...

I might have a try at this, time to try this 32K flash eprom I bought... Argh, I've been fooled by the vendor, it's not a 32Kx8 flash eprom that I have received... Anyway, I've produced a "synchronizing rom" this week-end, I still have to find an eprom programmer, though... Cheers, Fabrice

True, this crash occurs systematically under Dos...
I only noticed it recently when trying Virtual PC, because all my test platforms had at least Windows 95.
I will have a look at it, I guess it's due to cwsdpmi, which doesn't protect all the memory pages unlike Windows does...

Well, preset 4 is special, basicaly instead of steping the 128 dots by +/-1 it instead steps by +/-129 effectively having 256 virtual dots on screen, because the 128 are at one position during one frame, and at the opposite position next frame. Ah, ok, so it's normal it blinks 25 times a second... ...

You suggest that since the timer starts at the same time as the ULA, a few instructions at the beginning of the cpu execution should be enough to have the VIA synchronized with the ULA....
