Re: Paste from clipboard problem

Actually Symoon, that is a great idea. The tool he is talking about is part of the development toolchain we use. I wonder if you could just use it standalone... It is worth a try. Download it from http://miniserve.defence-force.org/svn/public/pc/tools/osdk/main/Osdk/_final_/Bin/bas2tap.exe The docum...

Re: Paste from clipboard problem

I am starting to think that the problem is the program is too big. If we could grab the txt with the complete program, we could try to use the development kit to create a tap from the sources...

Dbug, it would be nice if attaching files other than images were possible

Re: Paste from clipboard problem

I am not sure why pasting fro the clipboard does not work, but if you can share the listing (in txt format) we could try to see what is going wrong or find an alternative. On the conversion tools, they are old and only work under MSDOS. I have a win98 laptop just for that... Some might be recompiled...

Re: Blake's 7 - French version / Version française

Well in my opinion adventure games (more over graphic adventures) have to be challenging not difficult . They also have to be interesting and fun to play and (most importantly) deliver a story where the player feels as protagonist. In any case they never have to be either frustrating or too easy and...

Yes! Does it work? Any chance you can write a disk? Blake's 7 for instance?

Re: Experimental very fast tape loading

Hi Symoon! Bad news, from my side. I was not able to work out a setup to load your files. I am not sure what happened with my laptop. I am quite sure I used it before for loading, but maybe due to some windows drivers update or something, now I am not able to load anything. Not even usual wavs... Th...

Re: Experimental very fast tape loading

What happens with the standard speed loader is quite strange. It is quite possible that I made a mistake somewhere (some init missing when in Hires mode?); unless you think it could be something with the emulator? If I had to bet, I'd say that it is an uninitialized variable, probably in zero page....

Well, I guess you'll have to follow the rest of the series to discover if I came up with an idea... or not!

Re: OType

Fortunately at some point he switched to XA so at least the code would not be alien to us. Mmmm not sure about that. Twi's code has always been alien to me  but at least the syntax is known, so we can assemble and test things  I really think it should not be very difficult to complete O-...

Re: The Graphic Suite

Can't remember the details, but he created them for his new project, so I am not sure how difficult it was to adapt the format of generated data. You could edit maps, levels, objects, sprites... but the info and format used was for his project.

Re: OType

Twilighte did wonders with the Oric's AY... Pity we don't have the information about how he did those things. He experimented with many many different techniques. One of them was adding 'colour' to the notes by using the Envelope generator at certain frequencies. Unfortunately, that means no volume ...

Re: The Graphic Suite

I gave it a try long ago. The tools are fantastic, but oriented to Twilighte's own project. And it runs directly on the Oric, so a lot of steps to adapt for your own projects.

Glad to hear that... Maybe I underestimate the difficulty of the first episode ?

I thought it was quite easy... and most testers thought the same too.
