Re: Doing 3D games on the Oric ?

You read it entirely? Good gracious! ;) What is most interesting, in my opinion, is the couple of articles in C=Hacking written by S. Judd, where he explains his engine. Remember I just adapted it. And then, yes, the tons of little things that appeared and how so many people jumped in to help me opt...

Re: Real Time 3D example

About the filled polys routine, as I said I gave it a try some time ago. It looked terrific for a demo, but had some problems for using it in a real game. I always felt frustrated to some extent by not being able to add it to 1337. I uploaded a couple of demos here, with a very primitive version of ...

* Learning more asm programming on the Amiga
If:
1- you enjoy programming on Amiga
2- you like the game Don't Press the Letter Q
then I may have something for you ;) (well, it's in C, not ASM).
Sounds interesting...

As soon as Microdisc is included, be sure :)

Re: Real Time 3D example

Really nice! Congratulations! Thank you very much Chema :D I'm fond of your work on Oric. I learn a lot from your code. It's really cool to see that you appreciate these samples. I wish someone managed to implement filled polygons. The polygon rasterizer at Defence-force is so easy to use that I've...

Re: ORIC SDCARD

Yes, Dbug, that is what I meant. Cumulus might include a mode which behaves like Erebus, probably. I thought you all were talking about the other way round. It is not only Sedoric. It is the FDC hardware. The Oric issues commands to the controller through page 3 such as sector read, and expects sign...

Re: Erebus Batch November 2019

It accepts 512 files, I think, if you don't have long filenames (more than 8 characters plus extension). Else, each file needs extra space, reducing the grand total. What I find surprising is that I am finding it hard to make a collection of 100 good games for the Oric, but I guess that depends on w...

Re: ORIC SDCARD

I am not sure Erebus will ever merge with Cumulus. Erebus patches the ROM feed the bytes of a tape file into memory, as an emulator might do, but emulating the hardware behind a disc controller AND the floppy drive is e itself is a completely different thing. You need actual hard to produce the sign...

Re: ORIC SDCARD

Well, the Cumulus is a completely different device, as it emulates the disk controller and 4 floppy drives... The disk drive really transforms the Oric into a very competitive machine and, imho, is almost a must to get the most out of the Oric. But I understand that it is not a common piece of hardw...

Re: ORIC SDCARD

My Erebus... :) Made by a guy in a Spanish forum. It works perfectly and is a very nice add on for our machines. The only minor problem is that games such as Defence Force refuse to load. I guess that is because it is either using a custom loader or calling the ROM routines at unusual entry points, ...

Has anybody done this and confirmed it works to avoid problems with external peripherals?

This is the first time I see this mod....
