Re: My new Cumana drive ;)

The oric's original PSU is 9v/600mA, so 2 A may *just* do it.

Re: Adventure Games and Solutions, Help needed !

As a side note, maybe you already know that Infocom games version 3 (standard series) can be played on the Oric using pinforic, which I think is available in oric.org and if archive https://www.ifarchive.org/indexes/if-archiveXinfocomXinterpretersXoldXpinfocom.html EDIT: just noticed this was mentio...

Rax: are you playing on an emulator?
What springs to mind in such problems is a variable that hasn't been initialized, and whose value depends on the emulator's state at start. Dom, did you try changing the RAM pattern at start with Euphoric?
We've seen this before, eh Symoon? ;)

Re: ULA versions

I think I collected some ULA info too when investigating about Cumulus compatibility, and it seemed that it was a combination between ULA and memory type, maybe even CPU too... Did not find any repeatable or reasonable pattern. But I can assure you that at least one person whose Cumulus produced gli...

I must say I am deeply impressed by the amount, quality, and crazyness  of the Oric projects that have appeared in the last months. Congratulations!

Re: Gotek USB floppy emulator

I love these solutions using oled displays... I may get my hands on one someday... The only gotek I have is mounted on my Amiga and uses a custom menu, so I might be wrong, but I think you need to actually mount the disk image once selected in the display (isn't there a button for that?). By the way...

Re: New Oric Project. The OriClone-1

A quick post to state I am following your project. I find it really interesting and I am impressed by the talent you hardware people are showing lately with your projects.

Unfortunately, my knowledge about hardware is nearly zero, so I won't be able to help at all... :(

Nice pack! Surely you can make at least one working machine with those. I am really interested about the differences... will they run modern software?

Re: ROM 1.22?

It uses fresh burnt EPROM with BASIC 1.22 @ 60Hz re-branded and dedicated to the gamemaster "Chema@DF" :!:  Thanks so much! Yeah, I remembered that you were testing EPROMs which seemed to work, but I was not sure it was a definite "YES". I am curious, however, about why you want to put a new R...

Re: ROM 1.22?

Just remember that the Oric with the EPROM won't work with a disk interface (I think also won't with Erebus) out of the box.

It needs some hardware patching.

More probably a bug in my patch trying to adapt Fabrice's patch... :)

But what is the relation between the bits set to one in data and the alignment of instructions? Maybe I need to read your messages more carefully...

Re: Season greetings!

Please, send them... I am not sure I will have time anytime soon, and I am not even optimistic, but we'll see..

Regarding Amiga programming, all I managed to do is this little effect in asm:
MyMovie (1).gif
MyMovie (1).gif (555.42 KiB) Viewed 1553 times
And I started playing with isometric graphics, but the blitter is a hard beast!
