Re: Twilighte's IM music

I am unable to make it work on a real Oric. Keyboard doesn't work. Could anybody give it a try for me? I know Twi used some reading technique some times that does not work on my Oric, I cannot play Pulsoids, but I am not sure if this is due to incorrect setting of the I/O port B in the AY (register ...

Re: OSDK 1.1 Link65.exe weird syntax error

Yeah! Congrats! You finally found it!

It was sounding weirder and weirder with each post. I told you about to post your main so I could try to compile it, because it didn't make sense to me.

We've been not of much help, but you managed yourself exceptionally :)

Re: defence-force.org emails

Thanks for the update! Don't worry about forum emails... we can live without them :) But if you find the reason, it'd be great!

Re: OSDK 1.1 Link65.exe weird syntax error

You could just paste the first part of your main.c file, but I still think this could be due to something that is included. If you could check your #includes for something strange...

Re: Twilighte's IM music

Ah, really nice. Thank you. So it is done in Wave 2.0. I tried that when I was creating the music for 1337 and, when I had something with pitchbends and some nice volume effects, I had to get back to an older version because Twi never produced the compiler, so music could not be exported or played o...

Re: OSDK 1.1 Link65.exe weird syntax error

I personally find the messages quite clear, but I don't chare if they change terminology unless I stop understanding the tool being upset. If you can attach or copy your .c or the generated .s file (main in both cases) we could have a look. Else there is little we can do... One thing that happens to...

I was actually saying this because I'm disappointed about such high prices, for both Oric hardware and Ringo Starr show ;)

Re: Microdisc in ebay

Mmm not sure. This price escalation does no good. We are buying hardware which is 30+ years old just for nostalgic reasons, maybe for preservation. Your calculation has a small flaw, I'd say. How many times in a year will you enjoy, or actually use at all, that hardware? That Microdisc with a 3" uni...

Re: OSDK 1.1 Link65.exe weird syntax error

I think (but I may be wrong) that the error is being issued by XA trying to assemble the file produced by the compiler from main.c and I think at line 1

We would need to have a look at your main.c file.

Re: Paste from clipboard problem

No trouble at all! It is nice to have these challenges from time to time :) You've probably spotted a bug in Oricutron, a problem with one of the tools in OSDK and preserved a program (more or less… some debugging is still necessary). And I had fun for some time trying to figure out what was happeni...

Re: Paste from clipboard problem

I've been trying to clean the code up, but there are soooo many errors, that I gave up. This is my last attempt. It runs out of DATAs in 2555, so some are missing from the data list above that line. I had to correct a few values, so probably something is wrong (a missing comma or something would be ...

Re: Paste from clipboard problem

Okay I got it guys. Problem is there are OCR errors. It seems our tools cannot handle some of them correctly. I tried bas2tap and generated a cloadable tap file, but the BASIC was corrupt because the line numbering was out of order. Due to OCR errors, that is. For instance: 2010 whatever 2820 whatev...

Re: Paste from clipboard problem

Chema The program was developed on a 49k oric1 in 1983 so it fits. I had a stupid thought that it could be the font but I don't see how. I got that, what I was suggesting is that the data to paste into Oricutron is maybe too much, overflowing some internal buffer or something along those lines (an ...

Re: Paste from clipboard problem

Actually Symoon, that is a great idea. The tool he is talking about is part of the development toolchain we use. I wonder if you could just use it standalone... It is worth a try. Download it from http://miniserve.defence-force.org/svn/public/pc/tools/osdk/main/Osdk/_final_/Bin/bas2tap.exe The docum...
