Re: Upgrade Time: Encounter

hehe, I tried to practice a lot, and still suck at it :) Regarding sharing the sources of editor and compiler, you are totally right. If I did not do it yet it is simply because the source code is horrible (uncommented, ugly, full of kludges, a total disaster...) and because I am using Visual Studio...

Re: Upgrade Time: Encounter

 Impressive work Dbug. Could not yet view all the videos in detail, but your abilities as an artist are incredible... It took me hours to make only the first ugly version of a room in Blake's 7... How I envy you artists! This remembers me that I have to share the code of my room editor,...

Re: FloppyBuilder evolution

In the archive (together with described images in my previous post) you will find 'TeleBoot.rom' . Use this ROM file as TeleBank7 in Oricutron.cfg or Euphoric.ini (leave other banks empty). I've tested all possible combinations of Orics and FCD's and everything seams to work OK! Pravetz FDC still s...

Re: FloppyBuilder evolution

No, no. 256 byte sectors are ok for Telestrat, but it expects a 0 where the Microdisc expects something different from 0 to boot. Fabrice found a trick using 512 byte sectors to solve this, because one machine will read only the first 256 while the other will overwrite those with the second 256 byte...

Re: FloppyBuilder evolution

Sound interesting... I am not near my computer these days, but I will have a look soon. Have you added my changes in the loading/saving code? They are not yet in the official sources, but in the Blake's 7 sources. They support Microdisc and Jasmin on emulators, cumulus (which has a bug in the firmwa...

Re: Wolfenstein / DOOM for Oric : has this been done?

This is very interesting... do you reckon it is possible to do some kind of FPS game on the Oric?? I've seen the doom (?) speccy version and, while it is an incredible technical achievement, I don't see it as really playable. And the Z80 allows for some more CPU intensive things. Besides I think it ...

Re: Oricutron 1.0 (EDIT: Now 1.2)

Thanks iss, so it is a bug in Oricutron that Euphoric does not suffer. Interesting. Probably it is due to how it saves data... Xeron surely knows. Is there any chance that recent changes result in a new release so I can just download it and NOT recompile it? As a lateral two cents I miss a quick way...

Re: Oricutron 1.0 (EDIT: Now 1.2)

Again not sure where to post this... I know I could flag a bug, but I am not sure how to describe it, so I prefer to hear some feedback. First of all, I am not sure if the bug I reported here http://forum.defence-force.org/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=1001&start=60#p12800 was dealt with at all. Any ideas/ne...

This is looking better and better! I don't have a Linux box around, but I will try to get a virtual machine working just to try this!

Impressive work! Thanks indeed.

Re: New game project

You can also add details to the trees or other elements on the first example. And notice how block shadows are only cast o elements, and do not appear in the black background. It looks better that way, in my opinion. I am not sure about how you are coloring... do you have alternating cyan/green ink ...
