Re: OSDK 1.1 Link65.exe weird syntax error

This said, it can be useful to use standard terminology it that helps avoiding a relatively understandable confusion. Is it a problem to modify the messages in make.bat if they can help avoid a reasonable confusion given the common meaning of these terms? The problem is that if we "fix" the message...

Re: Upgrade Time: Encounter

Episode 11 is now available:

Today's topic is dedicated to Ibisum , not sure if the solution is what was expected, but I fear I can't do much better.

Re: OType

Good question. I guess we should avoid just trying to shove everything in one category and post new threads for relevant stuff, with musical things going in the relevant Oric Audio category, and old games prototypes in the Game category. As long as your final choice makes sense, I don't really care :)

Re: OSDK 1.1 Link65.exe weird syntax error

Link 65 *is* a Linker. The fact it does not deal with OBJ and LIBs and other binaries artefacts has nothing to do. In this particular case, Link65 glues together the parts of your program, but it also locate the external references and fetches the relevant modules from the library folder using the i...

Re: OSDK 1.1 Link65.exe weird syntax error

Chema is correct, it's in the Assembling part, not Linking.

Check the "linked.s" file in your OSDK/temp folder, it contains the concatenated list of all source codes, with some #file preprocessor directives to indicate which file the code originally came from.

Re: oric advanced user guide is still available

Hi! Hope you are doing well :) I was wondering: Do you know if it is possible to find somewhere some editions for the Oric Advanced User Guide? I know a few people who would really like to have it, even if it was just a digital edition. Best regards, Hi Mickael, Thanks for your message. I haven't t...

Re: Microdisc in ebay

So, did anyone got it?

I was looking at the auction, it ended up at 182 euros, but 30 seconds before it was about 50 euros less expensive :)

Re: Orikai

Strange, I had no problem running it (Windows 7 / 64 bit), all I needed was the FreeImage dll, the rest I already had a long time ago :D

I've stopped trying to figure out how they came up with a bunch of ideas in the machine, mostly because I don't know enough about the background story, how they designed stuff, the budget constraints, etc...

Re: Oric Tshirts

I think they would look better with just the Oric logo.
Both elements on the same side, on top of each other, is probably not the best design :)

Re: OType

I guess one limitation of the embedded youtube videos is that nobody can see the video description: Jonathan Bristow (also known as "Twilighte" in the little Oric World) has been responsible for some of the best pieces of software ever released for the Oric computers such as Zip'n Zap and Magnetix, ...

Re: Upgrade Time: Encounter

The two only alternatives I can think of are: - use CHAR to draw "characters" that could contain graphical representations of the items - use a bunch of MOVE instructions to copy bitmap data line by line in both case we would clearly see the drawing happening, except if I can find a buffer area, or ...
