Maybe others can recollect when they played this game? I must confess that I didn't quite get into it as much as other games on the C64, mostly because I'm a shooter fan and don't have much patience for running around and finding switches to flick ... BUT ... I am a huge fan of emulators (eagerly a...

I can't express how much joy it gives me to see games being written for the Oric-1 in **2009** .. oh man, when I remember how remote and distant I was, (Australian desert), hacking away on my lonely little Oric-1, looking jealously at all the copied tapes my neighbor was getting for his Speccie from...

Does anyone have any recommendations for a nice LCD TV that I could use with my Oric Atmos? I'd very much like to just have a little TV for it, and maybe one day rig it all up to be a bit battery-powered .. hmm ..

Nice one, I look forward to seeing the code for OType personally .. really like that kind of game myself, and if there were more games like that on the Oric, I'd definitely be checking them out !! One thing - why not hack up a paint mode into an emulator? Surely its just as easy for the emulator to ...

I guess I'm not fully understanding just why its so difficult to build a simple floppy emulator that takes the Oric interface on one side and presents a virtualized disc from a normal SD-filesystem on the other side? I mean, couldn't we use the Hackaday Bus Pirate project as a starter, for getting a...

You disagree an SD interface is useless without a DOS? Even a floppy emulator needs a DOS. I think the point is, a properly functiong HARDWARE-emulator would just drop in on any Oric, and run SEDOric or so .. No? BTW, a plain old SD interface requires a clock and some serial shift registers. A flop...

In my opinion, we need to really encourage and contribute to the effort to have these Oric-fan meetings! The Oric lives on! It may only be an esoteric, hobbyist computer, but in fact it has a sufficiently interesting, and simple, library of applications that there is really no need to abandon the pl...

This is super cool .. the debugger interface looks like exactly what I needed when I was 13 years old to figure out how everything works. Great! :)

Are you going to release the sources/make a Linux/OSX version?

I'm also very interested in this subject as my Oric ATMOS just arrived in the mail (YAY, I finally got the upgrade I've wanted since I was a teenager!) So I think I will make the cables to rig up my Oric to an MP3 player which will have as many .WAV files as I can find .. but if there is a way to ge...
