Re: Sources for MODEM programs

There are actually some bbs working and accesible through telnet. Of course you need a serial add-on for your Oric and some equipment to implement a gateway, but that is the easy part. There are some progs for Linux (and Windows, I think) which would do it, for instance https://packages.debian.org/j...

Re: Sources for MODEM programs

Just checked OTRM and it runs quite well indeed! Well done!

60 column mode is much better than just 40. I only miss the colors.

BTW, what is the blue bar at the bottom for? The only option I am aware of is CTRL+arrow to pan the screen...

Re: A possible software alternative to Vsync?

I tested the routine in my real Oric. A very limited test, however. The cursor in Blake's 7 flickered when being moved so I put the routine in my code trying to get a sync with the vertical retrace and avoid it. It worked, but only partially. I did not modify the routine itself, but I think I had to...

Re: Sources for MODEM programs

Well I was thinking about setting up a 60 column mode and maybe tweak the colour mode somehow... you've made most of the work :)

I will check your program indeed, but I am still interested in the sources...

Thanks!

Re: Sources for MODEM programs

Not sure if you are, like me, asking for the sources, or the actual program. The latter is available here http://oric.free.fr/DISKS/modem.zip

But no sources... anyone?

Sources for MODEM programs

Hi all. I have been playing a bit with Vagelis Balthras' MODEM program (MODEM.DSK) and I'd like to know if somebody has the sources somewhere. Just curious about how a few things in the terminal program are done. The program is in Fabrice's old Oric site, but only in binary (executable inside a disk...

Re: CC65 to DSK

I am really eager to test this game. It looks terrific. About the joystick thing, the same happened to me. Blake's 7 supports IJK joystick in theory, but no tests with real hardware. In fact I might attempt to make the interface just for testing purposes. One cannot rely only on emulation. I also su...

That is indeed bad luck, Symoon. When was the last time you tested them? Maybe they reached the end of their probable lifetime in the last, say, 5 years...

Re: Modern Software Packaging

Also, when you have your collection of games around, it's kind of confusing to have the actual Defence Force game sitting next to another game with the same logo despite not being related at all :D You've got a point there indeed. I understand :) I liked your designs very much. I did not find anyth...

Re: Modern Software Packaging

Did not have time to have a look at the high resolution version yet, but I must say that, it being an impressive job, I miss the Defence-Force logo... :(

I had it on Skool Daze and Blake's7 at least, and it looked quite professional.
