Re: Replacement rubber "feet"

There is nothing wrong to dig in old threads, actually your message helped me to notice now a small difference between Atmos and Nova64 Indeed, it's the same on the three I got. Also the screws were different, instead of (+) cruciform/philips style, they all had (-) flat head screws, for both the p...

Re: Fixing Oric Nova64

I did try to change the ULA, that did not fix the problem, that being said it was an ULA I had lying around, I did not try any of the ones I received since.

Re: IJK interface diagrams.

There was something called "Cumana expansion box" for the Oric, and according to the above mentioned web site "This expansion holds a power supply unit and a dual expansion port allowing the floppy disk unit and another expansion device to be connected simultaneously.". Interesting. I wonder how di...

Re: IJK interface diagrams.

Damn, if somebody had told me that I could source IJK Joystick interfaces from three different people, I would not have believed it!

Re: How to use MACROS with OSDK

Thanks for all your help, i'll try with ca65 which seems to have some macros with parameters allowed I really don't understand what your problem was: Both the OSDK C Compiler and Assembler support macros with or without parameters, so your issue is not with macros, it has to be something in your se...

Re: Dungeon Master on the Oric: 24 years later

Glad you liked it :) I fixed the PICTCONV line, guess that's what happen when you only spend a week end working on it... Regarding the treasure picture, I don't remember, it was with the other pictures so I added it, but yeah I made that 24 years ago, don't remember :D Ok for the items, what would y...

Re: IJK interface diagrams.

Address decoding compatibility is a big hurdle on the expansion bus: I was happy to find out that the mysterious device I asked about a couple years ago, IS indeed a MIDI+Serial interface, and it is designed to have an address range that does not conflict with the Microdisc, which probably means I c...

Dungeon Master on the Oric: 24 years later

Since there was some interest in my old 1996 Oric demo/prototype of Dungeon Master, I spent a bit of time making a video presenting the state of the project, why it stopped, the challenges, and some new stuff. The video: https://youtu.be/holCw1F-QWg and the associated article: http://osdk.org/index....

Re: IJK interface diagrams.

Thanks for everybody's feedback. I don't want to force anyone, and of course if Dbug prefers iss' made, there's no problem at all. Cheers. It's not really a question of preference, ultimately what would matter to me is that: - it behaves like the original IJK interface and works well with IJK game ...

Re: IJK interface diagrams.

Just one question: Is there anywhere indicated on the PCB that it's a IJK compatible joystic interface? It's kind of nice when that's indicated, to avoid the "hmm, what's that interface exactly, looks like joysticks, but which type!" type of questions :D And yes, I confirm my interest for one of the...

Re: How to use MACROS with OSDK

As the other said, "osdk\macro\macro.h" is not supposed to be used by anyone other that the C compiler itself. I guess to avoid problems I could probably rename it to something that makes people not feel like using it, like "osdk_internal_compiler_stuff_do_not_user.dont_touch" :) "ptr1" and "tmp2" a...
