Skool Daze C64 disassembly
I didn't want to start another thread, because this has nothing to do with the Oric, but it does have something to do with Skool Daze and the 6502, so here it is. The complete Skool Daze C64 disassembly Last year I decided to give sk6502 (SkoolKit components for 6502 disassembly) a workout by revers...

Re: Skool Daze
Back on the subject of copyright and licensing and whatnot, I was just wondering whether, given the recent revelations about Elite's treatment of Spectrum game developers, anyone's considered removing mention of them from the Skool Daze page ? If the revelations are true, Elite doesn't deserve the a...

Re: Skool Daze
Well, after some delays the Oric version of Skool Daze is finally available! Excellent! I'll be checking this out some time soon. In other news, Dave Reidy has given permission to World of Spectrum to host all of Microsphere's games. Interestingly, in the permission statement he points out that the...

Might I suggest getting in touch with WorldofSpectrum.org and asking there who deals with the distribution issues? They have the Spectrum version so they should have had the necessary permissions granted. As far as I know, WOS doesn't have explicit permission to host the original Spectrum version. ...

I'm not sure that Alternative Software has any legal right to prevent Chema from releasing his version of Skool Daze, because it's not a direct derivative work - it's a complete rewrite in a different programming language. The only doubt I have is about the game graphics - which are pretty much a st...

Chema , I don't know if you are using the main timetable from the original Spectrum game, but if you are, you might want to fix the bug in lesson 227 (MR ROCKITT - EXAM ROOM): http://pyskool.ca/disassemblies/skool_daze/lessons/227.html Note how little boys 4-8 go to the White Room, but no teacher w...

I am still tweaking things before releasing a beta, but be sure that the game will run on the next version's of Oricutron. Excellent, I can't wait! It's been fascinating to follow your progress in this thread. One question, though (since I have no knowledge of 6502 assembly and couldn't figure out ...

Hello all.
As the author of the Skool Daze disassembly that's being referred to for this port to the Oric, I thought I'd chime in and say that it's great to see the disassembly being put to such good use!
Chema, I hope you can get this working on Oricutron soon so that we can all try it out.
